Preserving the Great American Concert Band Tradition
A MESSAGE TO OUR LOYAL
PIONEER BAND FOLLOWERS
As the temperatures begin to cool and the leaves begin to turn color, it reminds us that our summer concert season has come to an end. We want to thank all of you who attended our concerts, and we truly appreciate your support. Even though the summer season is over, the Pioneer Band is keeping busy. After a short fall break, we jump back into rehearsals to prepare for Veteran’s Day and Christmas Concerts that we will perform at local personal care facilities.

We have already selected programs for next year and will be rehearsing those selections throughout the winter months. Themes for next year include our traditional Children’s program and Pop’s concert. In addition, there will be an all Jazz program. And we are particularly excited about our Nation’s Sesquicentennial celebration.

On July 4, 2026, our nation will commemorate and celebrate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. The journey toward this historic milestone is an opportunity to pause and reflect on our nation’s past, honor the contributions of all Americans, and look ahead toward the future we want to create for the next generation and beyond.

Plans are already being made for special performances around the Lehigh Valley to help us celebrate “America 250”, and we will have an all patriotic concert in July at West Park. In addition, we will also sprinkle patriotic music in all our themed concerts.
Looking forward to seeing you in 2026.
